Brewing Pureami tea
Get the Most from Every Bag

Brewing Instructions

Brewing the perfect cup of Pureami tea is not difficult, but following these guidelines will ensure you get the full nutritional benefit from every bag. Take a few minutes to read through before your first brew — it is worth it.

Storage note: All Pureami teas are non-perishable when shipped dry. Once a tea bag or loose leaf portion has been steeped, it becomes perishable. Store used tea in an airtight bag or container in the refrigerator and re-use within 5 days.

Qing Yun Moyeam Tea

Step-by-Step Brewing Guide

One 2-gram tea bag or a 2-gram portion of loose leaf tea can be steeped multiple times — each use produces a slightly lighter brew. Tea bags and loose leaf portions can be re-used 3–5 times before retiring them.

Tip for new drinkers

If you are new to Moyeam, you may enjoy it with a small amount of honey (about ½ tsp) at first. Most people find they prefer it without sweetener as they grow accustomed to the concentrated Myricetin flavor. We recommend drinking Moyeam 1–3 times per day for best results.

Tea Bags — Step-by-Step

  1. 1

Place one 2-gram tea bag in your cup.

  2. 2

Add hot water (195°–205°F) — just below a full boil.

  3. 3

Steep 4–5 minutes for a first use. For each subsequent use of the same bag, add 1–2 minutes of steeping time.

  4. 4

    Drink at a comfortable temperature.

Going bigger: Drop a tea bag into a full teapot of hot water and keep refilling your cup — it holds up beautifully. An electric kettle with a keep-warm setting works great for this.

Eating Moyeam Tea Leaves

Moyeam tea leaves are completely safe to eat, and we actually encourage it. Eating the used leaves is an excellent way to absorb every last flavonol the plant has to offer.

Some favorite ways to use them:

Meatballs & meatloaf
Lasagna & pasta dishes
Soups & stews
Scrambled eggs
Salads
Smoothies
Pancake batter
Plant soil (indoor & outdoor)

Safe for Pets

Moyeam is also safe for dogs and cats. Add small amounts of used leaves to their food — older dogs in particular tend to respond very well.

Eagle Tea & Chrysanthemum/Hibiscus Blend Tea

Both Eagle Tea and the Chrysanthemum/Hibiscus Blend can be brewed using the exact same process as Qing Yun Moyeam above — loose leaf, tea bag, or bulk stovetop method all apply.
